This summer go BIG ! Big bracelets are in, of all shapes and colors. If they are not big choose to wear a few number of them all together. Don't overdo it if you are very petite and short.
Somebody asked me if I thought that wearing black is proper for weddings. Nowadays black is commonly used for all ceremonies, religious and non religious ones. Anyway, it is better to wear black in the evenings or nights instead of mornings and early afternoons. But in general, always dress up for birthday parties, graduations, special events. Better to be over dressed than under dressed. If the invitation states "Casual Attire", don't interpret that as "flip flops and shorts". This is not "casual" but it is "home attire", proper for a soccer or baseball game or for running errands on Sundays. Try to be "casual chic". Favor long sleeves shirts or polo shirts with slacks. For women skirts or pants with a nice top. Nowadays even jeans are accepted, but they have to be very nice and fashionable. Of course, on the other side, you should avoid sequins, glitter or anything that is "too much" or too glitzy. Again, for a wedding it is proper to wear high heels, but not a long dress for the ceremony (only the bride can wear a long dress!). A long dress or an evening gown is more proper for cocktail parties or balls, where men should wear black ties or, sometimes, tuxedos. Always remember that weddings or birthday parties are NOT for you to be the center of attention, unless you are Lady Gaga. So express yourself with your attire but follow taste and courtesy.
