Who knew that popping zits can be deadly?

Almost everybody knows that squeezing pimples might lead to some complications. The bacteria goes farther and deeper into the skin causing more redness and swelling. It can give you a bad scar too, which is not what we want on our face, unless we are tough guys. Of course for most people it is better to squeeze and get rid of the ugly zit than going around with that disgusting yellow and red bump on our face. That is why it is always better to wear gloves or to use a cotton square before getting to this ignominious matter, or at least wash your hands thoroughly (and the area under your nails if you wear them long). But what what most people don't know is that popping zits might lead to DEATH! The danger is called "cavernous sinus thrombosis", which is basically a blood clot in the sinus cavity. How do you make that happen? Well, you might get that when you squeeze your acne in the "triangle of death", an area that goes from the bridge of your nose to the corner of the mouth to the width of the jaw. This is because the veins in this area drain in the sinus and any severe infection in this area could lead to the potentially fatal thrombosis. So, next time think twice before popping that nasty pimple!
